Why I Quit Facebook (Sort of)

I quit facebook.

Sort of.

I’ll still post to fb,  but I’ll be doing it through an outside app without coming on to facebook itself.

Here’s why:

1. Time: Over the last few days I’ve been evaluating how much time I actually spend on FB. I was astonished and ashamed. FB has become a huge distraction for me and I realized how much more time I could spend in prayer, study, time with my family and in writing.

2. Content: I’ve found for me that most (not all) content on fb is not helpful. From the pointless posts, pictures, games and videos I found the noise of it all to be too loud. I added to the noise myself and desire to not add to it any further.

I came on to FB to use it as a platform to be an influence for good. I’ll now be doing that at a distance with God’s help. Thanks for reading.

  1. Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
