The Forgetful Christian

I am notorious for being forgetful. “Where did I put my wallet, my keys, that book I was reading?” Thankfully my wife Erin has a gift of having a photographic memory for where all these items are at any one time. She amazes me.

Unfortunately, forgetting inanimate objects are the least of my worries when it comes to forgetting.

Sometimes I forget God is able.

The Forgetful Christian

Maybe in a moment of struggle or overwhelming stress you’ve forgotten too. Even as believers we sometimes fail to believe. Listen to this dramatic conversation between Jesus and the father of a child who desperately needed a miracle:

“And Jesus asked his father,  How long has this been happening to him?  And he said,  From childhood.  And it has often cast him into fire and into water, to destroy him. But  if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.    And Jesus said to him,  ” If you can ” !  All things are possible for one who believes.    Immediately the father of the child cried out  and said,  I believe;  help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:21-24 ESV)

“I believe; help my unbelief.”

That statement alone sums up the faith of many. Many times we believe in a general sense, but don’t believe for our own circumstances. If we read on we find that Jesus meets this father’s faith where he is and delivers the child. Jesus is kind that way, meeting us where we are. He desires to meet you where you are today as well.

Take some time sharing honestly with God areas where you are struggling to believe. Don’t rush this. Write down what comes to mind. Then ask Him to give you a gift of faith to trust Him like never before. Remind yourself of Jesus’ own words, “All things are possible for one who believes.”

Oh and don’t forget….I’m praying with you.

  1. I have discovered that smart real estate agents all over the place are warming up to FSBO Advertising. They are realizing that it’s in addition to placing a poster in the front place. It’s really concerning building connections with these suppliers who one of these days will become consumers. So, once you give your time and effort to serving these suppliers go it alone – the “Law regarding Reciprocity” kicks in. Great blog post.

  2. Thanks for your post. One other thing is that if you are promoting your property on your own, one of the issues you need to be aware about upfront is when to deal with home inspection records. As a FSBO retailer, the key concerning successfully switching your property as well as saving money about real estate agent income is awareness. The more you understand, the better your home sales effort will be. One area in which this is particularly essential is assessments.

  3. Hey Lindsay, do we nonetheless have which extra ticket? Ive been shopping for one all over the place and I might gladly appreciate it in the event you could market it
