What Are You For?

I know what you’re against, but what are you for?? Countless Christians define themselves by what they’re against rather than what they’re for. Their tone is predominantly negative and almost always overly critical and judgmental. Instead of building your life around what you’re against, build your life on what you’re for. Here’s my list.

I’m for:

Jesus Christ over my own best efforts

The Bible over my own wisdom

Vulnerable honesty over plastic lies

Community over isolation

Being a loving husband over being a selfish jerk

Being an engaged dad over being an invisible father

Intentional living over a lazy outlook

People over programs

Servant leadership over positional leadership

Mentoring over managing

Reading over TV

Ours over mine

We over I

You over me

  1. One thing I’ve noticed is that there are plenty of common myths regarding the banks intentions while talking about property foreclosure. One fantasy in particular is that often the bank wishes to have your house. The financial institution wants your dollars, not your property. They want the bucks they loaned you together with interest. Averting the bank will still only draw any foreclosed conclusion. Thanks for your posting.

  2. I have discovered that sensible real estate agents everywhere are warming up to FSBO Marketing and advertising. They are acknowledging that it’s not just placing a sign in the front yard. It’s really with regards to building relationships with these dealers who sooner or later will become buyers. So, while you give your time and energy to aiding these suppliers go it alone — the “Law associated with Reciprocity” kicks in. Great blog post.
