How You Can Pray Bigger Prayers

Focused Prayer: Day 14

Do you pray safe prayers? Prayers that could accomplished by human hands and intellect alone? If yes, you are praying too small.

There’s a constant temptation to pray small, tunnel vision like prayers that focus only on our needs and the needs of those we know. I’m convinced that the enemy loves to get us fixated on our own issues so that we’re too distracted from praying and being about bigger kingdom issues. This must not be.

God is calling men and women that are willing to pray bigger, broader prayers. Prayers that deal with people and obstacles outside our own zip code. He’s calling us to partner with him in praying for the good news of Christ to be spread among all nations because their need is so great. Check out this stat below.

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (Romans 10:14-15)

We absolutely must be “going and telling” people around the world of Christ, but we must not forget to be “praying.”

You don’t need a passport or airline ticket to pray for the lost. You can go anywhere on your knees!

Prayer Focus

“Your will Be Done on Earth as it is in heaven.” Pray for God’s will to be done in every nation, in every city, in every church, and in you. Pray for missionaries to be called up and sent out to their cities and around the world. Pray for the generous resources needed to fund this great endeavour . Pray that the Holy Spirit would draw all men to Christ. Then pray it all again! I’m praying with you.
