I’ve been asked by several to post some recommended bibles for parents to give to their kids. Here are a few recommendations that can be effective in growing your child for God no matter what chapter of life they’re in.
1. The Jesus Storybook Bible (Ages 3-7): My boys loved this book almost as much as I did. Every story throughout the Old and New Testament points to Jesus. The stories are very well written and the illustrations are amazing. After reading, take the opportunity to talk and pray with your kids about the truth revealed in each story.
2. The Adventure Bible (365 Daily Devotions) (Ages 7-11): This Bible is great because it has a daily devotional story and scripture that you can read with your kids in the morning or evening. For added growth ask your older kids to learn to do their daily devotional on their own and then talk about it at dinner or at bed time.
3. The Fire Bible (Student Edition for Youth and College): This is a great bible for youth and college students. The added study notes that are provided will help take your child to the next level in learning God’s word on their own.
