It’s been said that, “If you ever want to find out who your friends are, ask people to help you move. You’ll find out by who shows up!
Even now, the thought of trying to carry all that heavy furniture myself is making my chest tighten. We just can’t do it alone.
We weren’t designed to do life alone. <Period
Paul points to this truth here:
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
What is the law of Christ? To love one another. We love one another as God has intended by sharing the weight of one other’s burdens.
One of the best ways we can help “bear” the weight that others are carrying is by lifting each other up in prayer. This intercession is one of the most powerful weapons we can wield on behalf of one another.
Let’s take a journey outside of our own needs today. I’d like you to reach out to someone in person, by text message, phone, email, Facebook, carrier pigeon….however you want, and ask them this question, “How can I pray for you?”. It’s one of the most helpful and loving questions you can ask someone. Gather these prayer needs and spend some time lifting them up to the Lord, knowing He’s listening and moving on their behalf. I’m praying with you.
